Strategies for Success
All students will be provided the following to assist them with achieving success in science class. > Graphic Organizers > Use of calculator > Time to retake assessments > Extra time to complete assignments and assessments > Restating/Rephrasing information > Directions given visually and verbally > Text to speech available for all assignments > Differentiated product for projects/lab reports > Digital Vocabulary slides to refer back to during assignments and assessments. |
Daily Learning Target: Students will be able to explain with 80% accuracy how the three causes of earthquakes (convergent, divergent, and transform plate boundaries)
ENGAGE: Students will answer the warm-up question
EXPLORE: and EXPLAIN: Students will explore by completing the foldable activity. Paper and materials placed near the projector in the front of class. If students have difficulty, please show them a finished version of the activity and assist by using the answer key that is taped to the board.
EXIT TICKET: Students will complete the foldable activity and write the information for each portion (convergent, divergent, and transform) on the paper.
Notes: Students are required to keep the warm-up and exit ticket paper as well as their foldable. If they do not return with the completed assignments, they will lose a portion of their grade. Please write down on this paper the names of any student who is not following directions. Please provide this paper to the main office at the end of the day. |
